Eligible projects include energy improvements such as new heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems, and the deadline for concept papers is 26 January 2023, with full applications due on 21 April 2023. The DOE has also launched the Energy Champions Leading the Advancement of Sustainable Schools (Energy CLASS) Prize, which offers up to 25 high-need local education agencies $100,000 in cash to build the energy management workforce through training and staffing positions.
